So let’s get started to make a cute Christmas stocking!

You will need:
– 10’’ x 16’’ (25 x 40 cm) piece of exterior fabric
– 10’’ x 16’’ (25 x 40 cm) piece of lining fabric
– 10’’ x 16’’ (25 x 40 cm) piece of fusible fleece or fusible interfacing

Cutting:
– Stocking detail, cut: 2 Exterior (1 reversed*), 2 Lining (1 reversed*)
– Loop detail, cut: 1 Exterior or 1 Lining (or use a piece of ribbon)
*When cutting, layer the fabric so you can cut the two pieces at once and they will be reversed.

NOTE: All seam allowances are included in the pattern. All of them are 1/4″ (0,7 cm) unless otherwise noted.

Fuse the interfacing to the wrong side of the exterior pieces and pin them right sides together. Stitch with a 1/4″ (0,7 cm) seam allowance, leaving the top open. Make notches in the outer and inner curves of the stocking. Turn the exterior stocking right side out.

Pin the two lining stocking pieces right sides together, leaving the top open. Stitch leaving an opening for turning (as shown). Make notches in the curves.

Make the loop or use a piece of ribbon. Fold the strap in half lengthwise and press. Then open and fold the long edges to the center, press. Fold in half again and press. Topstitch a 1/16” (0,2 cm). Fold the strap in half and pin to the top of the stocking.

Pin the loop to the back of the stocking near the back seam. The raw edges should be at the top. Stitch a 1/16” (0,2 cm) to secure.

Take the exterior stocking and slide inside of the lining, right sides facing (loop will hide inside).

Match up the seams and line up the top edges. Pin and sew around the top with a 1/4′′ (0,7 cm) seam allowance. Turn right side out.

Sew the opening closed (by hand or by machine) and press well.

Slide the lining inside the exterior stocking, wrong sides together. Topstitch a 1/16” (0,2 cm) along the edge.

Your mini gift-givers stocking is done!
