This information is kept on our Mail Poet account. We currently use Mail Poet as our Newsletter provider and you can read their Privacy Policy here.

Swan Family Patterns can’t see this information per individual. We analyze this information as the group of people who visit our site.

We also use a Google Analytics service to help us gather information about how you use our website, cookies, IP address, what type for devices you use to read our site, where are you from, range of age, the URL’s of the pages that drove you to our site (such as Bing, Google, Pinterest, Facebook etc.) We analyze this information to come up with improvements and better content and products for you. Along with our Google Analytics account, we use a plug-in called Google Analytics Dashboard for WP (GADWP) that has access to some of the information that Google Analytics recollects and send it back to our dashboard (See more on how we use this plugin in point 1.3).

1.3 Who does Swan Family Patterns shares your information with?

We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so. We may use your personal information to send you promotional information about third parties which we think you may find interesting if you tell us that you wish this to happen.
However, to keep the functionality and the innovation of this website we use the following services that need to access to some of your information:

PayPal – PayPal is the payment gateway we use to charge for our products as is the most secure way to pay online. PayPal will use your account information to make our payments reports, we will be able to see in this reports your name, address, the status of the purchase, the time and day of payment, and the details of your purchase such as the name of the product you bought and how much did you paid for it. We do not retain or store any credit card information on our servers or at our place of business. All information of the purchases made with PayPal.com will remain in their secure servers (paypal.com). Please see the PayPal Privacy Policy for more details.

Mail Poet – Customer information such as name, address, and phone number may be saved when orders are processed through our Mail Poet or WooCommerce cart software. This information will be used for internal analytic data processing only and it would never be shared with third parties.

Google Analytics – Google Analytics collects information such as how often users visit this site, what pages they visit when they do so, and what other sites they used prior to coming to this site. We use the information we get from Google Analytics only to improve this site. Google Analytics collects only the IP address assigned to you on the date you visit this site, rather than your name or other identifying information. We do not combine the information collected through the use of Google Analytics with personally identifiable information. Although Google Analytics plants a permanent cookie on your web browser to identify you as a unique user the next time you visit this site, the cookie cannot be used by anyone but Google. Google’s ability to use and share information collected by Google Analytics about your visits to this site is restricted by the Google Analytics Terms of Use (as amended for government websites) and the Google Privacy Policy.

1.4 How long does Swan Family Patterns store your data?

Because we grant you an easy access to all your purchases and files you download from our site via your account, we don’t delete your data unless you explicitly ask for it (see more about how to do this in point 1.5). This allows us to give you access to all your sewing patterns and other purchases information.
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time. Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

1.5 How can you access your data storage in Swan Family Patterns to see it modify it or delete it?

Access and Modify your data: All the users that either has an account created from scratch or because they purchase a product can access and modify any of their data such as name, address, phone number, and password by clicking on “My Account” tab in our navigation bar.
Delete your data: You can request that we delete all your data on Swan Family Patterns an email to admin@swanfamilypatterns.com with the subject “I want you to delete my Data”, then we will ask you to confirm this request via email, and once confirmed you in fact sent this request we will delete your data.
Delete your Newsletter subscription: If you want to Unsubscribe from our Newsletter you can go to any of our newsletter emails and click the unsubscribe button at the end of it.

2. Delivery and Returns Policy

We only sell digital downloadable items, giving customers quick and easy access to their purchases. Within 10 minutes of payment, you should receive an email with a link to download the digital material to your inbox. If you don’t receive the email within that time, check your spam folder. You can also download your digital materials from the ”Downloads” section of the website in My Account. Digital content is considered delivered when the customer has accessed their product (i.e. clicked the “Download” button).

Please note that this link can be used 10 times, so please download all your digital materials and save them somewhere safe on your device. The link emailed to you expires after one year, so please download the files as soon as possible. If you can’t find the email ordering the digital PDF pattern, check your junk or spam folder.

Digital Products, which are purchased as downloadable products, such as sewing patterns and printables are not eligible for return once the file has been downloaded.
Once a product has been purchased and downloaded by you, no right of cancellation or refund exists under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 due to the electronic nature of our products. Any refunds shall be at our sole and absolute discretion. You agree that under no circumstances whatsoever shall you initiate any chargebacks via your payment provider. You agree that any payments made by you for any of our products are final and may not be charged back.
Returns of digital products are allowed for 14 days post purchase, if the file has not been downloaded.
In case of broken links or errors in your file, the customer will be required to send a screenshot of the problem trough Swan Family Patterns Contact form to get the new right file.

3. License of Use Policy

Your purchase of one or all of our products constitutes our granting to you of a non-exclusive, non-sublicensable, non-transferable license to download and access that product for the purpose of your own personal use and reference, and print for your own storage, retention, and reference. You shall not copy, re-sell, sublicense, rent out, share or otherwise distribute any of our products, whether modified or not, to any third-party. You agree not to use any of our products in a way which might be detrimental to us or damage our reputation.

Not one of our Digital Products can be shared, copied or resale under any circumstances.

4. Intellectual Property Policy

The Digital products, whether modified or not and all intellectual property and copyright contained therein, are and shall at all times remain our sole and exclusive property. You agree that under no circumstances, whether the product has been modified or not, shall you have or attempt to claim ownership of any intellectual property rights or copyright in the product.

5. Coupons Policy

Coupons: Coupons are a regular way to reward our customers and can be used by applying a special code to the Checkout Process. Coupons are sent by email with a description of the conditions and times of use for each specific coupon.

6. Links to other websites

Our website may contain links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question.
